IJELE Foods sells premium Nigerian spice blends, including Suya Spice and Yaji Pepper. We keep product descriptions, images, and pricing as accurate as possible. If an error occurs, we reserve the right to correct it without prior notice.

3.  Pricing

Prices are shown based on where you are shopping from.

•  Canadian customers see prices in Canadian Dollars (CAD).

•  Nigerian customers see prices in Nigerian Naira (₦).

Taxes, where required by law, are calculated at checkout.

4.  Placing an Order

All orders are subject to availability and acceptance. Once payment is confirmed, you will receive an order confirmation by email.

We reserve the right to cancel any order in cases of suspected fraud, pricing errors, unavailable stock, or incorrect customer information. If your payment has already been processed, a full refund will be issued.

5.  Payment

We accept the secure payment methods listed at checkout. Your order will not be dispatched until payment is completed.

6.  Stock Availability

Inventory may change without notice. If an item becomes unavailable after your purchase, we will contact you to arrange a substitute, store credit, or full refund.

 

7.  Intellectual Property

Everything on this website, including the IJELE logo, product photography, descriptions, and design, belongs to IJELE Foods / Ijele Nig Ltd. Nothing may be copied, reproduced, or distributed without written permission.

8.  Liability

To the extent permitted by law, IJELE Foods is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of our website, product purchases, shipping delays, or courier interruptions. Our maximum liability does not exceed the value of the products purchased.

9.  Governing Law

•  Canadian customers: governed by the laws of British Columbia and Canada.

•  Nigerian customers: governed by applicable Nigerian law.

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of our website means you accept any changes.

 

Shipping & Delivery Policy

We work hard to get your order to you quickly and safely — whether you are in Surrey, Toronto, Lagos, or Abuja.

 

Shipping to Canada

At checkout, Canadian customers can choose from three delivery options:

 

Option 1  —  Local Delivery

Fee: CAD $10 flat rate

  • Available in: Surrey, Vancouver, Burnaby
  • Delivered via Uber Direct, DoorDash Drive, or approved local couriers
  • Estimated delivery: 1–3 business days
  • Subject to product availability

 

Option 2  —  Canada Post Shipping

Fee: CAD $18 flat rate

  • Available for all Canadian addresses outside the local delivery zone
  • Shipped via Canada Post
  • British Columbia: 2–5 business days
  • Other Canadian provinces: 3–10 business days
  • Delivery times are estimates only

 

Option 3  —  In-Person Pickup

Fee: Free

  • Pick up your order directly from us at no charge
  • Pickup location and available times confirmed after your order is placed
  • We will contact you with details once your order is ready

 

Shipping Within Nigeria

We deliver across Nigeria using dispatch riders, interstate logistics companies, bus logistics, and other trusted partners.

Shipping fees depend on your destination state, package weight, and order size. Costs are confirmed at checkout or before dispatch.

  • Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt: 1–3 business days

Delivery Delays

We aim to meet every estimated delivery window. However, delays can occur due to weather, customs, public holidays, or courier issues. Once an order has been handed to a courier, IJELE Foods cannot guarantee exact delivery dates.

Refund & Return Policy

What Can Be Returned

We accept returns on products that are:

  • Unopened and unused
  • Still in original sealed packaging
  • Returned within 7 days of delivery

How Refunds Work

Once we receive and inspect your return, we will issue a refund for the product purchase price.

The following are non-refundable:

  • Shipping and delivery fees
  • Logistics and courier costs
  • Payment processing fees

Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the return is due to our error.

Damaged or Incorrect Orders

About the Products

What is Suya Spice?

Suya Spice is the traditional Northern Nigerian blend used to marinate and season beef before grilling. It delivers the bold, smoky, authentic flavour behind every great suya. Works best on beef but can also be used on chicken, goat, and other proteins.

What is Yaji Pepper?

Yaji Pepper is the finishing spice that the Mallam sprinkles on suya after grilling. It is also a versatile all-purpose seasoning that adds bold Nigerian flavour to rice, eggs, plantain, fish, fries, and more.

What are the ingredients?

Both products contain: Groundnut, Crayfish, Dried Chilli Peppers. All natural. No preservatives.

Are your products safe for people with nut allergies?

Our products contain groundnut and are processed in a facility that handles peanuts. Do not use if you have a nut allergy. Always check the label before use.

What sizes are available?

We accept Interac, Square, Visa, and Mastercard for Canadian customers. Nigerian customers can pay via local payment options at checkout.

Returns & Refunds

Can I return a product?

Yes — if the product is unopened, unused, in original sealed packaging, and returned within 7 days of delivery.

How do I start a return?

My order arrived damaged. What do I do?
